16. How do I clean my grout?

Routine Cleaning: A neutral pH cleaner would be the best and safest option for cleaning your grout. General household cleaners like Simple Green or Armstrong Once N' Done work well with our product. For routine cleaning, Simple Green should be diluted to a ratio of 1:30 (1 ounce Simple Green to 4 cups water). The grout should not be cleaned before the initial cure of 7 days. After cleaning, the floor should be very thoroughly rinsed with clean, clear water. If this step is not followed, the dirt will settle back on top of the grout.
Note: never use any bleach, vinegar, or acid based products to clean the grout. Always test a small inconspicuous area first.

Heavy Cleaning: Our grout, like traditional cement-based grout, needs to be scrubbed periodically in addition to normal weekly cleaning. If you use Simple Green, it should be diluted to a ratio of 1:10 (1 ounce Simple Green to 1 cup water). Spray it on the soiled area and let it sit for about 15 seconds. Clean the grout using a nylon bristle brush, a white scrub pad, or a terrycloth towel, being careful not to scratch the surface of your tile. Another product for heavy cleaning is Greased Lightning, used per the instructions on the bottle. After cleaning, the floor should be very thoroughly rinsed with clean, clear water. If this step is not followed, the dirt will settle back on top of the grout.
Note: never use any bleach, vinegar, or acid based products to clean the grout. Always test a small inconspicuous area first.

17. Why is my grout cracking, developing pinholes or shrinking?

If excess water is used in the sponge during clean-up, minor cracks or pinholes can occur. If the grout is over-worked, it may appear to shrink down into the joint. Should either of these occur, simply apply additional grout to the affected areas at least 24 hours after the previous application.

18. I have used the product as a grout only. When will my grout dry?
